Overview of the job role: You will operate and maintain textile machinery used in the production of high-quality carpet tiles, ensuring efficient production while adhering to safety and quality standards. |
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machines to process carpet textiles according to production specifications.
- Monitor machine performance, identifying and addressing any mechanical issues or malfunctions.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to maintain optimal functionality.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and production specifications.
- Record production data, including output levels, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Assist with other tasks within the manufacturing process as required.

Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment industry.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Willingness to work shifts and flexible hours as needed.

- Fork lift truck operating experience
- Familiarity with needling or similar textile machinery is highly desirable.
